Supah Tuesday

So, I’ve been watching the Democratic primary race with great interest. For the first time in my adult life I have a candidate that I actually want to vote for rather than someone I’m voting against. That’s a notable difference, and I hope is indicative of a sea-change in US politics. It is, of course, too early to tell.

Along that line I find it interesting that with only a few exceptions, in states where Obama “won”, he did so by a rather wide margin. Clinton, on the other hand, generally just squeeked out the win, with relatively small margins in most cases. I’m sure this isn’t statistically significant, but it is something that caught my eye.

I also find it interesting that McCain has such a commanding lead on the Republican side of things. He seems to be the most moderate of the bunch. Again, I hope this is telling of a larger shift in politics in this country. I’m tired of being ashamed to be American.
